We will be having our VBS June 11-16. As for any particular material, we haven't picked out one yet. We'd be tickled to get what we could for our neighborhood. Arctic Edge is one I haven't heard of before. Is it a new one this year or one from previous years? quote: Originally posted by CindyGal: Hi Christy! Does your church specifically want Arctic Edge supplies, or will a different VBS be okay? Also, if you want Arctic Edge, when will you need the materials?

Hi: I noticed your message and wondered if you still have Arttic Edge supplies. My church is small and we want to do Artic Edge VBS July 17-21. We would greatly appreciate any supplies/materials that you might have. Please let us know. Thank you. quote: Originally posted by CindyGal: Hi Christy! I may be saying the wrong thing here, but there are a lot of requests for free materials for "small" churches. How small is small? I read the other day that a church was small and they averaged 200. Our church averages about 25-30 (right now) and we manage to buy our own stuff - yes we do fund raisers. There is nothing wrong with donating stuff, but I think many churches could afford to help with the costs, even if it is minmial to help reimburse the church who put out the money to begin with. People tend to appreciate things they have to pay for. I understnad budgets, etc. But ff a church does not put any value on children then perhaps they need to re think their priorities.

There is nothing at all wrong with what you said. And I understand completely your feelings on this issue, so let's say you're "preaching to the choir" about this. We are a small church, not of 200, but of an average attendance of 50 on Sunday mornings. This includes children and adults. On Wednesday nights when our "core" group attends, there is an average of 15 attending. Your midweek crowd are the actual "doers" of the church. Wouldn't you agree? We have many elderly in our church who can not get out and make it to service, let alone participate in fundraisers. But, I completely agree, you do appreciate more the things you work hard for. It's like that in any situation. However, I found this site and thought it decent enough to ask for help in any way...donations, discounts, prayer... To update you though, we have since found material that is completely reproducable for all ages and will be using this for our VBS this Summer. It's called God's ALl-Stars and we're thrilled to be able to present this to our community and share God's word. Thank you for sharing your opinion with me. It's something I may share at our next monthly meeting, in order to plant the thought that yes, maybe our priorities need revamping. Afterall, our children are the church of tomorrow. quote: Originally posted by tboney1: I may be saying the wrong thing here, but there are a lot of requests for free materials for "small" churches.
