I am going to Africa for a two week mission trip. One of our goals is to facilitate a 2 day VBS for the children. I am looking for any curriculum that would fit into two days. We have some of the used VBS kits from church. But, it has been overwhelming trying to narrow down the activities that should be done to fit all age groups. We plan on doing the lesson as a group and then have the children break out into activity rotations for the remainder of the day.

Are the kids African, or are they MK's? Will they be rotating as a multi-aged group, or will you be dividing them after the story time? If you can divide them, you can use the one story, then choose different activities that are age-appropriate. Just a few thoughts... any ideas that I can offer, I'd be glad to with a little more info! Stephanie

As a former missionary to East Africa, may I suggest you concentrate on the Bible story and forget the theme from the VBS. You did not say where you are going, but in many countries just a simple activity will work for all ages.
If you are also trying to help train teachers, it is beneficial to use supplies that can be found in the area that are inexpensive.
