Mother's day holds mixed emotions for me. My own mother died when I was a teen. I faced infertility before becoming the mother of 4 (3 adopted). My oldest is pining for her birth mother and is ignoring the one who raised her.
Yet, I will count my blessings and delight in the Lord who, "settled the barren woman in her home as the joyful mother of children." (Ps. 113:9)
