Hi Ladies,
I want to share my story. Please take a moment to read it.

Walking with the wounded

How many of us, even just on this board, are walking wounded?
Turning to the ever-faithful Jesus,
Christine

Christine,
Thank you for sharing your story! I really appreciate your honesty and openness. It helps me to remember that "real people" homeschool, and deal with all the challenges that come along with that. Yes, I've been a walking wounded many times over the years, and God has always been faithful to see me through. I know He will see you through this, too. You and your family are in my prayers!

Dear Christine,

Wow! What a powerful message you gave! Thank you for sharing in your most vulnerable times. It is scary to show people that even as Christians, we deeply struggle at the things swirling around us like tornados. Although I have not yet raised teenagers, I saw my mother struggle with both my sister and I. She said it was the worst time she can remember.

We did a lot of note-passing, rather than talking. Neither one of us knowing how to handle the situation. She, however, never gave in to either of our ways. She held firm to God's grace, his principles, and love. We both, eventually turned completely around, and both love the Lord dearly.

I believe that I had to learn that lesson the hard way (which most of us do). My husband and I said goodbye to our two twin boys at birth, where Jesus triumphantly received them into the kingdom. Their deaths, and our loss, led to a truly humbling, face-on-the-floor, begging for God's forgiveness and grace, time for both my husband and I. Since their deaths, God has used it for His glory, and I have been proud to speak of His purpose and will in our lives at different venues because of our loss.

Thank you for sharing - it helps those around you to pray in earnest and know that we are all fighting the enemy. God bless you and your family - I pray for healing, guidance, and peace for both you and your husband!

Christine,

I just read your story. wow. You know, people think that the more famous, the authors, the actors, have it better than the rest of us. You must be doing something right if you could write a book and sell it! But I know it's not true.

I grew up in a very dysfunctional home. I've been saved about 20 years and the healing process continues. Since I have very little support IRL with all our issues at home, my pastor friend calls me every now and then to talk (scheduled talks) and I see a counselor. It's hard, but by God's grace, you get through each day.

I have admired you for ages, and I love you even more having seen your transparency and honest heart in your pain. God bless you, dear sister...and we all do hurt in some way...may we walk in victory as best we can...until we can rejoice and see the victory when we meet Him face to face! I have actually heard of other adoptive kids having such issues...you know, as an adoptive mom myself I find that the fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree. Not that the trees are bad or good, it's just that nature does occur along with nurture...
blessings dear sister...glad I got to read your heart.

Thank you for the kind words, ladies. There is even more to the story, but I am not totally ready to share.
Keeping all of us in prayer,
Christine
