We do an offering during opening rally which we give to the Baptist Children's Home each year. We encourage kids to bring coins and base our "competition" (boys vs girls) on weight rather than amount (most kids can find a penny lying aroud and are less likely to feel left out if they can not give). We have borrowed scales in the past but would like to make one of our own this year.

Anyone have a pattern/instructions for something like this?
