We have a rooster because my father found a chick in the bed of his truck one day. It was so young and ugly that we weren't sure if it was a chicken or a turkey for a while. He thought my children would like to see what it turned out to be. We kept feeding him, and he's turned into a beautiful rooster.

Di...my 18 year old son said that he is thankful that he's more of a city boy. He said he doesn't want to ever have to compete for a girl's attention with a cow.

Oh, I don't know, consider this about (holy) cows:

All I Need To Know About Life--I Learned From A Cow ........

Wake up in a happy mooo-d.

Don't cry over spilled milk.

When chewing your cud, remember. . .
There is no fat, no calories, no cholesterol
and no taste!

The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence.

Turn the udder cheek and mooo-ve on.

Seize every opportunity and milk it for all it's worth!

It's better to be seen and not herd.

Honor thy fodder and thy mother and all your udder relatives.

Never take any bull from anybody ......

Always let them know who's Bossy! or was that Bessie?

Stepping on cow pies brings good luck.

Black and white is always an appropriate fashion statement.

Don't forget to cow-nt your blessings every day!

(hey, you brought up cows--I was still laughing about that rooster and stuffed dog!) Big Grin

Do you enjoy having a rooster?? There've been times I've wondered what one would taste like and if anyone whould mind if I found out. (ei. I was tired of getting waken up at 3am and 4am and 5am by that silly rooster and I wanted to kill the thing) The only problem is that roosters like to be heard and not seen. Roll Eyes

I really do enjoy having PC...I can usually sleep through his crowing. The reason that I like him is that he is funny. Also in a way he keeps me humble. He struts around like he's sooo bad, but deep down he's just a big, noisy chicken...I can see through PC...just like God sees through me.

The only thing I don't like is that he likes to roost on my car, and he makes quite a mess. As I said before his name really fits.

I just noticed that there are some new avatars around and this looked like a good thread on which to say "I'm confused again!!"

A lot of people got new avatars right before I went to Mexico, so when I came back, I had to start all over. I re-learned who was who, but never connected the new avatar and name(in some cases) with the old avatar/name. So, when I see someone with someone else's old avatar I think "I haven't seen them in a long time," when really it's a whole different person. Now there's just too many people around here, that I given up keeping everyone straight, and I get so confused...I am ok...maybe it's past my bedtime...
