Hey All,

It's official--I am a granny! My first grandchild, a big boy whose nickname may be Kross, was born today...and I got to be right in the middle of it! I even got to cut the cord. (Daddy declined. Oh well!)

Mama, Daddy, and Baby are all doing well. Granny is over the moon!

Oops, didn't realize I'd posted in "ministry." Oh well.

Baby K (they still don't know what they're going to call him) weighed in at 8 lb 10 oz, and was 23 inches long. His head was fifteen-inches in circumference--HUGE! It took a lot of pushing and an episiotomy (they don't do those much any more) to get his little head "molded" and out. He was quite the little cone-head when he was born, but is darn near perfect now.

Of course, you know, Granny thinks he was gorgeous from the start!
