Hi Gerry. Yes it is. Today it is harder to find friends let alone the type that have time and will offer a listening ear. I found it so helpful to go through the 10 weeks of coaching that I did with a coach I didn't even know but had researched. She lived several states away so I liked how anonymous it would be but at the same time by the end I felt we were good friends. I had no other resource at the time to help me navigate some of my feelings and work through some issues and discovering life coaching was a God-send.
I am a different person now. I have dealt with so many reocurring themes. I just needed to get them out.
I wish all women would invest in this. We invest in ourselves in many other ways,I think in today's society coaching is more needed than ever, not saying my own mom couldn't have used it when she was my age.

I think one of the big hurdles is getting the concept of coaching out there. So many close their ears to the word. They've never heard of it.
We aren't spiritual gurus or know-it-alls, as some might be intimidated to think, but I know deep in my heart that God made me with a calling to this. There has been a path and I have gifting in those ways.
In January I'm going to lead a 13 week workshop again on Life Purpose. This time not in a church but an outside location. I won't bother spending a lot of time describing coaching to those that sign up, I'll just jump in and do the workshop more creatively and they will hopefully appreciate it.

I wonder if the material you suggest is what she spoke on on the lifetoday link? I did listen to that.
