My church is attending the Deeper Still Conference in Atlanta in June for the first time.

What can we expect? Do you have any tips?

Our hotel is 8 miles away and that does not thrill me but it was the best I could get.

I'm not sure how you'll be coming into Atlanta but traffic is a nuisance. South of Atlanta on I-75 is a bottle-neck...not sure why...traffic just always stops right as you're going south out of Atlanta...not too far past the farmer's market. Give yourself plenty of travel time.
The arena where the event takes place is attached to the CNN Center. If you can plan a little free time...you can tour the center. Of course, Centennial Park is right out front of the CNN Center/OMNI hotel.
You can buy some food at the arena but there is a food court in the CNN Center. Expect long lines. Eating is probably the worst thing next to trying to use the restrooms. So many women...!
But oh, it is so worth the trouble! You MUST take a notebook for writing notes. When these three ladies speak, you are going to be overwhelmed with the messages they bring! It's like dinner-on-the-ground Sunday feasting on the WORD! TAKE NOTES! Even if all you write down is a three word description. I try to write down every scripture reference and whatever I feel touches my heart. And I also try to write down brief descriptions of the stories they use to bring home a point. These can be HUGE blessing. Beth Moore is so good at giving a WORD in a sentence (there's no high like the MOST High!).
Come prepared to laugh! These women will make you laugh so hard. And you will love Travis Cottrell! He ministers to every heart in that arena! There is a freedom of worship I can't describe when so many women come together in the name of Jesus. You will experience worship. You will experience fellowship. You will experience God speaking directly to you.

Now I am really excited!!!!!!!!

The closest hotel we could get is 8 miles away in Buckhead. We are coming in from the east in 1-20.

I notice there is an 1 1/2 for lunch. Will that be enough time to find something? I am considering asking the pastor (my husband) to come and drive us. Maybe he could leave the area, get us a sack lunch somewhere and have it ready for us when it is time.

You will be right downtown. There are a number of food court places to eat and restaurants nearby but it's the crowd that's the problem. Think about it. 20,000 plus women trying to find lunch! Praise God! But lunch is a trial.

I've never had to drive to the event because I stayed at the OMNI at the CNN Center. This year I'm about a block away at the Hilton Garden Inn. Traffic is difficult in downtown Atlanta so it might help ya'll to have a driver.

I don't know what to tell you about lunch. You will have to just do your best.

I'm thinking a jar of peanut butter, a loaf of bread, some fruit and water in a big diaper bag .

Any one else have some ideas?

All the downtown hotels are booked.

I will do better job of planning next year. How early should I make reservations?
