I am not very good at posting yet.
On day four we also attached a candy called Laffy Taffy along with the Jolly rancher because we saw it and thought it would go with it. Glorygrin

attached in a 5 piece package of Extra gum

Variation I wanted to do but didn't is:

To say go the "Extra Mile" by following up with the children who came to VBS.

We give these to all our workers which is a close to 60 people. If I just set a few aside for the main Bible teachers, which there is only about 12 of those, I am sure I would of said go the "extra mile", but we are giving these to teenage helpers, craft people, lunch room people, music helpers, and the list goes on.

Another comment is Thank everyone, Thank often, and thank as soon as possible.

I hope this helps. Glorygrin

Hi! I told you all I need help on how to post, oh! Well! My children are at horseback riding lessons, so I have a few minutes to tell you of a few more dynamite encouragement notes.

1. One of favorite is to get a tootsie roll bar, the bigger the better and say

Thank you for the "role you play in my childs life ( or this organiztion, etc) another one with the tootsie roll is to help complaints "roll" off your back"

2. Twizzler candy You can have this one and just say You have been a blessing to us this week. Keep up the good work and thank you for being so flexible or (do't forget ot be flexible) another one for this one is to use the verse about a stand of three cords is not easily broken.

3. Bottle of water. He is the Living Water and as the deer pants for streams of water I pray your sould pants for you, O God.

4. Maybe you would want to give them sunflower seeds and say as you plant seeds of faith in our childen may it grow to big and tall like the sunflower and like the sunflower face turns toward the sun ours should also turn toward the "Son".

5. Give them a smartie candy and tell them they are such a smartie to follow Jesus.

6. Give them a can of "Mouontain "Dew" and say Thanks for all you "DEW"--we couldn't "DEW"it without you.

Be creative and have fun.
I have more I will check back to see if anyone has seen the ideas later.

Glorygrin

Last year, I received ideas that Lifeway had published. Hope they do it again! They had some wonderful ideas (Teddy Grahams, Treasure candies, Tootsie Rolls, etc.) Please do these again for the less creative ones like me!

If you'll send me your email address, I have some suggestions that a neat lady in Louisiana developed for me to share with people. I can send it as an attachment. It's too big to include here.

Hi Everyone!

I would love a copy of anyone's ideas for teacher/worker appreciation gifts. We love doing something each day for our workers but I am tired of doing the same old thing. Can someone send me a copy of your ideas and I would gladly send a copy of our's. I have been a director for 15 years and I know how important it is to recognize your workers each day or night. My email address is kathjef75@aol.com

Blessings-

Hi again!

I was just responding to an email I received and I thought maybe some of you might like this idea. It is soemthing I have been doing for many years. I give it out on the first day of VBS to our workers.

Daily Trail Survival Kit:

Toothpick -- To remind you to pick out the good qualities in others. (Matthew 7:1)
Rubber band -- To remind you to be flexible. Things might not always go the way you want, but it will work out. (Romans 8:28)
Band-Aid -- To remind you to heal hurt feelings, yours or someone else's. (Colossians 3:12-14)
Pencil -- To remind you to list your blessings everyday. (Ephesians 1:3)
Eraser -- To remind you that everyone makes mistakes, and it's ok. (Genesis 50:15-21)
Chewing Gum -- To remind you to stick with it, and you can accomplish anything. (Philippians 4:13)
Mint -- To remind you that you are worth a mint. (John 3:16-17)
Candy Kiss -- To remind you that everyone needs a kiss or a hug everyday. (John 4:7)
Tea Bag -- To remind you to relax daily and go over your list of blessings. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Hope you like it. Have a blessed day!
Kathy
