This is the first year that I will be directing babies through three year olds. I have been told that last year the activities were over andthere was still lots of time left in the schedule. Since two and three year olds have short attention spans, what is everyone doing to keep the children interested and learning during the three hour time block? We are considering modifying the lessons by adding more crafts and activities..How has everyone else dealth with this???
Please pray for me as I take this on... |

I work in the preschool at our VBS. What we do is the rotation. We do games first, then they eat snacks. Then they do bathroom break. Next it is on to Crafts, or Music. Then to Missions and finally Bible Lesson. If there is time in between, we take them on nature hunts outdoors, or we play music and let them play musical chairs. Also, we have them buddy up with older kids. Mostly though, we try to do visual things that will hold their attention longer. I found in the 3-Kindergarten rotation guide, there are alot of nice ideas for these children. Good Luck, & Have fun. Mary
