I love the Worship Rally video. The quality and message is good and I think the children really enjoy it.
As Music Leader on our Associational Team, I also appreciate the 90 second preview of the drama. This will fit our time in our clinics much better than trying to find 5 minutes of video to give the feel.
However, I wish LifeWay would consider evening out the times of the video each day. I am troubled that the length is growing longer each year making it difficult to fit the entire rally into a 30 minute time frame. And then, on the Evangelistic Emphasis Day, they choose to make that the longest segment - how about shooting for the shortest, so that the emphasis can be made by the minister (or other) while still keeping at least a few of the songs.
I agree with you. The Evangelistic message in the video is great, but I think that kids respond better to one-on-one presentations. We always try to cut that day's rally short in order to allow extra time in class for the gospel presentation, but I hate to skip the rally video.
We have our ministers visit each class individually rather that do a mass presentation in the worship rally. We feel that it is more personal and gets the ministers involved in the kids lives.
