I taught crafts (& usually do), but I did not find in my craft book that the preschool ages had a different story until it was too late. I always ask them if they remember their story & they started telling me about Elijah and the rain, Not the fire. I thought they were confused at first, but then learned that they were right. So, I had to tell them the story about the fire so that the Wonder Turner would mean something to them.
I also found out the 2nd days story was different. The last 2 days, we did a theme related craft so it didn't matter. In the future, could you please let the craft people know about any different stories, or just make sure that they are all the same. Also, the decorating would have been easier if we were provided with an overhead cell or clip art of the train that was in most of the picures. The train picture we had was of a modern train. It just wasn't the same. Thanks for listening. |

Hi Naomi - The reason you had a problem is because the crafts in the craft rotation book are designed to go with the children's bible stories (Grades 1-6). Craft suggestions for preschoolers are included in the preschool leader guides.
Good news, though. Next year, there will be a preschool (3's through Kindergarten) rotation pack that includes a craft section, plus some craft packs designed especially for preschoolers. Hopefully your preschoolers had a great time anyway! |
