We have been doing Backyard Bible Clubs for the past 2 years instead of the traditional VBS. Last year over 1/2 of our kids were not from our church. We have used different curriculums each year that we have done this. We have 1 Bible story teller at each home. The story tellers have to be able to adjust their teaching to accomodate different age groups going through their station. Each age level of the curriculum was written by someone different and therefore had differing formats. We had to spend a lot of time re-doing the lessons so that the story formats were similar but then added ideas on how to increase or decrease information for appropriate age levels. Has anyone else had this problem? For Lifeway...Do you have any plans to make your curriculum more Backyard Club friendly? I'd love to talk to someone about this.
