Just wondering why some clipart is on transparent backgrounds and some aren't?? Just browsing thru the eps files I see that the bonsai tree and string of lanterns are not on transparent backgrounds. There may be more - but those are the only 2 I've come across so far.

Any chance of getting all the clipart on transparent backgrounds?

Thanks.

I'll check and see what we can do about that.

Well, I talked to the designer who does the clip art and here is her reply:

"The art for VBS was created in two different programs. Some art was created in Adobe Illustrator and some was created in Adobe Photoshop. Most of our art is created in Photoshop because of the flexibility with the program and the ability to add more detail. Unfortunately all files created in Photoshop will have a white background. If they have photoshop on their computer they can create a clipping path to their file and that will give them a transparent background. We run into this problem every year but their is really no way around it at this time. Maybe technology will advance in the next couple of years."

If you don't have photoshop, but have some friends who are graphic designers, I'm sure they could help with this. Hope this helps!

You can copy and paste clipart onto a new sheet in a word processing program. Print them off onto copy paper. Then copy those non-transparent pages onto overhead cells using the by-pass feed of a photocopier.
