i thought of a good vbs theme that should be done :_) hehe>...a farm theme...my grandma came up with the title: "The Great Hayloft Mystery". what other themes do you guys have in mind that haven't been done before!?!?
I would love to see a revival of the Good News Stampede from 1997! I didn't get to teach that year because I was on my final materity leave from VBS. My daughter loved it, and I adore the music. LifeWay, please consider this for 2007!

I agree the request for a revival of the Good News Stampede - I was so hoping for a western VBS in 2006, but it looks like that is not going to happen. So hopefully someone will listen and bring one to us in 2007! Thanks!
I too am looking forward to doing a Western theme. Would love to see Lifeway do a remake of the Great Stampede for 2007. Looking forward to doing Spacequest as our church has not done a space theme. Please remember in prayer of the family of "Mr. Scotty" on Star Trek that passed away yesterday. Beam me up Scotty!!!!!
I would like to see a good Farm Theme as well as a Western Theme.
We did our owe Farm theme a few years ago the Kids Loved it!
I would also like to see the kids take a trip to other places then just the jungle or mexico it seems like most of the curriculum providers use them over and over again!
Another theme that is not seen alot of is a pirate theme
I would like to do a Bible Days Village, travel back in time to discover what it was like as Samuel, Timothy, Joseph from Old Testament, David, and John the Baptist, or Elizabeth, John, Issac, Rebekah, Rachel. I would like the children to see the people of the Bible were just like them in thoughts and feelings. I think this could be very memorable.
How about VBS Through the Decades going from the 1950s to the present. Each day could be a new decade. Wouldn't that be fun?!?! The scriptures could focus on how Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Or God's love is eternal.
Or the 7 wonders of the world. You'd have to combine a couple of them, of course, in order to only have 5 days.

I love this idea! Maybe Lifeway will take this idea for 2008! Music that sort of sounds like something they would have heard during those times would be good too.
I loved the Windows of the World that we did over ten years ago. It was before we had all of the props, but I did a world room that the children visited each day that featured the five parts of the world that were studied. That was one of my all time favorites. I also loved the ocean odessy theme. It was one of the best. Ann

I am always hearing comments among our VBS workers about how everyone loved the Good News Stampede. It was our most memorable theme to date. The kids and adults loved it.

I agree with those who talked about how the "Good News Stampede" was so good. As I was director that year, I found it to be a great VBS. I also agree with the lady about Bible Days. It would be awesome to go back to Bible times and pick out a few of the Bible characters and learn about them. There are so many to choose from and it would be exciting to pretend to be in old Bible times. The possibilities are endless.
