Anyone here dealing with a child with physical disabilities? How do you integrate "schooling" with therapies and other activities?

Our son has some problems with small motor skills requiring occupational services once a week. We do this in conjunction with speech services so we aren't out of the house more than twice a week for these services. For the small motor issues: clay-to make characters or whatever-
small manipulatives like legos or lincolin logs to build- write/color/draw/sketch-lots of notebooking puzzles typing-he's just getting into the internet, but loves the computer for games- scissor work-paper and cloth- bead work all kinds of crafts-paints and more- WE just KEEP those fingers and hands busy. ANY body else dealing with this? cheryl Being confident of this very thing that HE who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ Jesus-Phillipians 1:6 |
