I have a question for those of us with special needs kids - how much do you stress out about them memorizing all their math facts? Do you stay with that until they learn them, or do you move on to other concepts? Do you let them use a facts chart?
Just curious,
Christine

My 7 year old is really struggling with this one and my 9 year old is just going slower. Any faster and she stresses out.

For Piglet (age 7): my dh is helping her out for now. She's had a hard time even remember simple things like 5-1=4 type of things.

For Rabbit, we just try to split the work. It goes slower this way but at least she's getting it. That's what counts, right?

We are considering getting Mammoth Math (or is that Math Mammoth? I have it bookmarked). It looks really good.
