I have an enormous prayer request. I inherited the directorship of our VBS yesterday, due to an illness in the family of the former director. VBS is in 11 days, and we have no decorations, no supplies, and a CLUELESS new director! We DO have a church, wonderful teachers and leaders, the VBS pack and about $500.00 for supplies, etc. PLease pray for me, that I will do my best and hardest work to get this thing off the ground, and for the children, and against a pretty severe spiritual oppression. I don't think the evil one wants this VBS to happen! Blessings to you and thanks!! Annie in Colorado
Coloradochurchlady, Hey I'm praying for you! Hold to Joshua 1:9 our theme verse and keep it with you. It will help you make it through this time of growth in your life. Remember "Be strong, Be courageous follow Jesus"! Blessings

Thank you so much! I am so blessed with the volunteers that are coming forward. Pastor's been hitting the "HELP" button pretty hard in his sermons, too! Now, if we could only get more people who actually want to deal WITH THE CHILDREN!! LOL!!
I'm in Colorado, too, and have lots of experience with VBS. I'm in Evergreen and know lots of people around churches in Colorado. Where are you? Is there something we can do to help you out since we're in the same state?
Email me and let me know.

I am so glad that one child was saved. As a former director for seven years, and a leader for several, I have always believed that no matter how much work, how much money, or how much time is spent, if one life is changed, then it is worth it all!!!
We had one boy saved in VBS last year. He had been an Awana clubber for 6 years & was a real brat most of that time, rude, fighting, sassy etc. Slowly over the years I saw a change. I brought him to church each week & would tell the Lord each week I was not bringing him back. The Lord would tell me "yes you are I'm not done with him yet." Toward the end of his 6th grade year I saw he was close to accepting the Lord. PTL he did.
Thanks so much to everyone who contributes their creative ideas with the rest of us. Everyone has been such a blessing to me. Our VBS starts July 9-14. We would appreciate your prayers and good thoughts. Thanks again for everything.
