My 14s doesn't seem to fit in anywhere. His older brother is well liked and understands social graces. 14s is very tall for his age, (6'0) looks about 18 or 19, and tries waaay too hard. He doesn't have any friends.
I've told him that Jesus "is a friend that sticks closer than a brother" and "seek...the kingdom of God...and all these things will be added..."
I've talked to oldest about his group taking 14s and mentoring him, as 18s was but 14s is like an overgrown puppy and the college kids are hesitant. This is a large part of my prayer time.
I hope this is understandable. Any suggestions?

Hi Quiver,
I really hope some other moms chime in here. One of my daughters was much like this at 11/12 years of age. She still only has a few close friends. But the blessing of this awkward time for her was a deep walk with the Lord and a close relationship with me.
She'll never be the life of a party, but she's grown into a deep thinking, solid kid.
Who else has experienced this?
Blessings,
Christine
