Anyone have a teen who is not motivated? Has trouble finishing tasks, can't commit to projects? How have you helped them?

You mean, there are teens who are any other way!? Wink Just kidding, I know some teens are very self-motivated. Unfortunately, none of them live at my house. Even my perfectionist-type kids seem to hit a slump when they turn 12 or 13. I'm finding having a set schedule helps, and sitting with or near them while they do their work seems to help keep them on task. With one of mine, real-life consequences help, too (i.e. if she wants to stay up late to watch the Spurs game, her school work for the day has to be caught up). But it is a struggle. I hope others have some good ideas for dealing with this.
