OK, ladies, let's come clean. Do you look in your kid's rooms or read their diaries? Or, do you only do it if you suspect something is going on? Or is their room their sanctuary?

Yes, I look in their rooms, but no, I don't read their diaries. I don't snoop through their drawers or anything like that, but might open them for a quick peak to check for neatness. Usually only if I see things poking out the sides, though. Each of my girls usually has a "stash" where they keep private things. It might be a drawer or a box on the shelf, but whatever it is, I stay out! I would only look there if I suspected a problem, but that has never happened. I did clean one of my girls' bedrooms when she was away at camp, but I told her before I left that I was going to do that if she didn't get it done before she left. So I wasn't being sneaky, just following through on what I'd said, and I didn't look through any of her private things (just shoveled out the mess!) I do think it's important for my girls to have their private time and I don't barge in on them if they're in their bedrooms, but they know I can always check their rooms if they aren't in there.

I don't look in the diaries. I do howevr, go into thier rooms! What a mess! We are a close family as we live in a 3 bedroom modulare with 5 people in it. I think we are pretty good at judging each othes temperments so I don't feel the need to look int diaries. I pray alot for my choldren and thier futures and walks with God. This is where I would LOVE to have an inside "peek". Praise God that they are in his hands!
Who knows my children are 16,11, and 3 - when my 11yr old daughter gets older the temptation to look into her diary will probably grow!
