Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if you could pray for Rabbit? She will be going to a mission/daycare center in a fairly *dangerous* city. The area she'll be in is okay, and she really wants to go and minister to these preschoolers. She's going with others from my church. I know I need to let her do this - but the mom in me is a little nervous for her.

Please pray for her and the group that's going? They've done it before but Rabbit has not. And those kids they'll be with, that they will totally be blessed!

Thanks so much again!

Sometimes.

Once my son agreed to go to a mission camp with our church for a week. It was not far away and he had committed to a spot. He was 13 or 14 at the time. He wanted to back out. He didn't want to go. I had him talk to the youth pastor and they agreed since he had made a committment he should honor it. However, my son did not want to go to Six Flags with them the last day. (Don't ask me why - He just did not.) Well, I was all set to pick him up early and he called me the last night - "Mom, Brother James said he would pay for me to go to Six Flags if I wanted and I do - can I go, Mom?"

Of course my answer was yes. They treated him just like one of their own kids and it made a huge impact on him going on that trip.

I just thought I would share what came of cold feet on my son's part... His experience changed him forever. But he had never been on a trip like that with a group of kids and was afraid.

Just commit it to God, He will see you through.

Thanks, Michelle. She's with the church group now in the city. The Children's/Youth Pastor and Children's Ministry Director will be riding together to take her home this afternoon. I'm so excited for her and glad she decided to do it.

Thanks for sharing your story. I think next time we'll be prepared in case she gets last minute goose bumps and arrange for someone from the church to talk to her over the phone.

Praise the Lord. I wanted to pop in and let you know what a blessing it has been to pray with you and correspond these last few months here at the forums.

I am finding that my participation here is growing less and less due to the timing of other ministry and writing opportunities in my life right now. God is opening huge doors and I need to walk through them. Unfortunately that means leaving something behind... And for me, sadly, that is the forums and all that they have been to me since I stumbled upon them in 2003. That was such a year of change for me... and here I find myself in a new exciting season of change and bidding things gone by --- goodbye, at least for now.

I am praying that things continue to go well with you and your family. That God would continue to provide and direct and strengthen you in every way and that you would be blessed beyond measure as I have been by those you meet in this place.

Love to you, Blessings.
