Hi there,

We have been told to "stay in our homes as there is a dangerous situation going on close by". From what we heard, it is our friendly neighborhood 'drunk', Andy, and he has threatened "to kill his girlfriend" [Debbie] online, and was reported to the Police.

And, sadly enough, Andy is the nicest man when he isn't drunk... He roto-tilled a great big spot in our backyard this spring so we could have a beautiful vegetable garden, just because we sold him my Dad's mountain bike for what he considered to be "inexpensively". And, Debbie is a very nice young lady, too.

Please pray that this situation turns out safely, and especially that no one gets hurt. Their home is 2 doors down the street from our house.

As far as I know, this dangerous situation must have been worked out, as we were not warned of any further danger after my sister and niece were told by one officer to "get into that house and stay there until we tell you it is safe for you to leave." And, my neighbor closest to this man's home told me that the SWAT team had left by nightfall. But, they never told us when it was "safe" again, which troubled me a bit.
