Hi Everyone,

My 7 1/2 year old, Piglet, is terrified of thunderstorms. This week is VBS and we're especially going to get them tomorrow (Wednesday) all day - and with the way it looks, possibly today too.

Could you ladies please pray for her? She did well on her first day of VBS. I'm volunteering in the crafts station so I need to be doing that. And she needs to learn to be more independent. Even if it's just raining, she cries. I try to comfort her, to help her understand what the skies are doing but it doesn't help. She also knows there are dangers and that scares her.

Lord,

Your word says that perfect love drives out fear, and that you did not give us a spirit of fear. I ask Lord that You would calm Piglet and her nervousness during storms, that you would reassure her that You take care of the little children and that Your love for her can take care of her through anything. I pray you would give snmom the wisdom and words to soothe her daughter's fears and comfort her.

Empower them Lord to overcome these anxious days and to walk in Your peace. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Update: The only thunderstorm we had today (so far, it's almost 2:30 pm as I'm typing this) was at 5 am-ish, of course it started as I was taking a shower.. So she did great today and I was so proud. She didn't cling to me when she did the craft. Today was tie-dye day and yeah I got some in my hair, etc. lol Oooh, I love VBS!
