I have my own issues and now I have to support my oldest daughter, she is going for a divorce, her husband is abusive, and she has had enough, It is so hard, I want to believe god but for what? I paid for her marriage and now I pay for her divorce. Help me Jesus, I want to keep my eyes so on him

Welcome to the forum, Rose!
Bless you for being there for your daughter. What a tough position that puts you in...how brave of both of you to say Enough now and not later. I'm an oldest daughter who divorced an abusive husband, with my mom's support and help; been there, and it's not a pretty place. Sounds like you already know how essential it is to keep looking to Him for help...don't let go, no matter what! He carries us through when nothing and no one else is there...and though it's not easy to make it through this, it is possible if you remember that He is your Source and your Strength. Praying that His love will surround you both; that He will generously give you the wisdom and patience you need; that He will guide your steps. There are so many places where it would be easier to "take the low road" and let go of your commitment to handle this like a believer; may He keep you extra safe during those times. Hang in there. --- Alyson |
