Does anyone have any creative ideas for storing things in a house with very few storage areas? As many of you know, we moved into a new house two months ago (and we love it!) It's a great house, except ... we don't have enough storage. Each of the bedrooms has a nice big closet, so there's no problem there. But the only place to store other things is in the closet in the game room, upstairs. There is one small closet under the stairs but we use that as a second pantry since the one in the kitchen isn't big enough. But that's it. We have no attic storage, the laundry room is only big enough to hold the washer/dryer and a small set of shelves for cleaners, etc. There are no other closets anywhere in the house. So where would you store things like keepsakes? I don't really want them in the garage where they'll rot in the heat. Right now they're in the dining room, but that is definitely not a permanent solution. I'm hoping someone has some creative ideas that might help us.

Here's a thought. We have had storage issues in the past and we limited each child to a big Rubbermaid tote. The tote was stored in their closet and they weren't allowed to play with the stuff in it. When the tote started getting full, it was time to cull through the stuff WITH the child.
