I want to thank you for the prayers for my husband and daughter. Some of you know that my husband has prostate cancer. He had the nasty removal surgery in August, which went well. The cancer was outside the prostate, however, and he will need follow up radiation. We are watching his PSA levels, and when they get to a certain point, we'll radiate. He is cheerful and optimistic and we are greatful that we caught the cancer when we did.
Many of you don't know that shortly after the cancer diagnosis, my oldest daughter (now age 18) was diagnosed bi-polar. It has been a wild ride, full of tears and pain. In the midst of one of her manias, she was contacted by her birth father, only to learn that her birth mother is also massively bi-polar. She is currently living away from home with a bunch of friends in an unhealthy setting. It is our hearts desire and prayer that she return home, but we are learning daily to accept whatever God has planned for her and us.
To say this has been a year of challenges is an understatement. But I am so glad that I know the Lord! He has been my source of strength and comfort. Many days I have been on my face crying out to Him and He has never forsaken me. Ladies, He is our rock!
