Please pray for me and my family as we are preparing to move in about 2 months. My husband got a promotion at work so we're being transferred to San Antonio, Texas. We found out a week ago that it is a definite thing and have been very busy ever since then getting things done. Our house went on the market yesterday. We've been packing boxes and cleaning out closets like crazy! We are scheduled to leave here October 21 and he starts at his new job October 25. Getting six people, four cats and a dog packed and moved halfway across the country is a huge job. Please pray our house sells soon, that we can find a new house to buy in Texas, and mostly that we all stay reasonably calm and don't eat each other alive before it's all over! Thanks!!

Heavenly Father, I lift up Lori and her family to you right now, Lord I pray that you would indwell each one of the family members and give them your peace during this time. I pray you would bind the enemy from causing any confusion and causing any strife as they are preparing for this move. I pray your spirit would guide and lead them as they move, Lord, I pray that you would meet each need and be in every detail. I pray even now as they are in Florida and preparing to move that you would be preparing their new home in San Antonio Texas, Lord I pray for the new church family they will have, the new friends that home school - Lord, please guide them to families that are like minded to encourage their family. We pray that this move would be a move that the family could look back at in years to come and remember the fun and good time it was to move in a new directon, one Lord that we pray will glorify you and bring all the family closer to you and to each other. Lord we pray for Lori's husband the provider for this family - please give him strength and wisdom by your spirit to lead and direct his family. We pray that you would bless his new position and that this new position would bring joy - use his new job to glorify yourself. Lord, i just lift up all the unspoken requests that are in Lori's heart as well, as she is trying to pack, prepare and move- please give her a renewed strength as a daughter of you, our King, as a wife to her husband, as a mother to her children and a friend to others, fill her with your holy spirit and thank you Jesus for the intercession you make on own behalf - we love you , we dedicate this family to you in your most precious and perfect name, Amen.

Thank you both for your prayers! We had our first showing on our house yesterday. It's been on the market for two weeks now and we were getting pretty anxious because no one had even come to look at it! We lowered the price over the weekend, and I think it's priced much more competitively now. Hopefully we'll get some more showings, or better yet get an offer, in the next couple of weeks.

Well, we had our second showing tonight. Only two in almost a month, but I keep reminding myself that we only need one, as long as it's the right one. We should know in the next couple of days if this family is interested or not. Our realtor did find out that they have four children, so that was pretty cool (since we also have four children). So hopefully having 5 bedrooms here will be a plus for them. The other couple that came to see it liked a lot of things about it, but didn't want so many rooms. So we keep praying, and knowing God will send the right family in His time.

The couple that saw our house last night liked it, but doesn't want to buy it. They've decided to target new construction. So we'll keep waiting!

Ah Lori, that's a disappointment. We'll be praying for that house to sell for your asking price.
My husband frequently travels to San Antonio, he just got back from Cibilo (sp?) yesterday. He says it's beautiful there.

We have another showing tonight at 6:30. It's good we got a lot of notice this time so I have all day to get the house ready. The timing is even good for us. My son works until 5:30 then will go to his girlfriend's house for a while. Two of my girls have karate at 6:30. So we'll take them to class, then the rest of us will take the dog for a walk, then go back and pick them up and go home. We should even have time to have dinner and clean up before we leave, so we won't have to eat out again. Anyway, please keep this in your prayers today and I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, no sale yet. The couple that came last night liked it, but they have just started looking and may not actually buy until the end of the year. They did have a couple of "observations" (not really complaints) but they are things I can't do anything about and are really just a matter of personal preference. So now we wait some more!

Hi Christine,
No, no news yet. We didn't get any feedback from the realtor that came Sunday, so we're assuming that means his clients aren't interested (but it would sure be nice if he'd just tell us that!) We don't have any more showings scheduled yet, but so far they've all been on the weekends (Friday-Monday) so maybe we'll get another one or two this weekend.

We had our 5th house showing yesterday morning. We got a call at 9:15 that they wanted to come at 10:00. We dashed around getting everything ready and were out on time. Unfortunately this one doesn't want to buy it either. They said the floor plan was "choppy" and they thought they could get a more modern home for the same money in Titusville (about 45 minutes north of here). I don't think they can, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, we're still waiting for the right person to come along. My husband has to leave October 28 to go out and start his new job so we're getting pretty anxious about the house not selling yet. I'm trying not to get discouraged, but it's hard sometimes.

Ahhhhgggg Lori! That is frustriating. Continuing to pray.

We had another showing this morning -- #6. Our agent called at 8:35 and said another agent wanted to show the house between 9:30 & 10:00. My girls were still sleeping, I hadn't finished my morning clean up routine yet, so we were really rushed to get out the door on time. But we made it, barely. We drove by the house at 9:45 and they were just getting here. They had a baby with them and possibly a grandparent. I'm always curious about who is looking at my house. Hopefully we'll hear some feedback from them later today.

I will be praying that your house will sell very soon, be it God's will!

Well, no offer yet, but it's sounding a little bit promising. The realtor loved the house and said it showed well and she would definitely show it again. The couple who came to see it Wednesday are divided -- the husband liked it, the wife didn't. But they haven't taken it off their list of possibilities yet. They are continuing to look, and our realtor is continuing to discuss possibilities with their realtor. Maybe in the next day or two something will happen. I'll keep you posted.

We had house showing #7 today. We got a call at 2:30 and they wanted to come at 3:30. Most of us were in the pool when the call came in so we had to hurry to get everything ready, but we made it. I don't know anything about this family, but hopefully we'll get feedback from them soon.
