Do you crave routine and your kids are free spirits? Or are you the free spirit with the routine craving kids?

Great question! I think we're a mixture of both. I love to have a routine, at least on paper (or on the computer). But I have a hard time following it for very long. Two of my kids are "checklist" kind of people. They love to have a "to do" list and check things off as they go. Not necessarily a schedule or routine, but a list of what needs to be done. The other two are total free spirits! No routine, no schedule, no checklist. Just go with the flow, do what feels good, and they're happy. So we tend to land somewhere in the middle, having a basic routine to our WEEK (but not each day) and a general idea of what needs to be done, but no set time schedule for most of it. Some things (like co-op, gymnastics, sewing lessons, etc) are scheduled, of course. But most of our stay-at-home stuff is just sort of fitted in around the scheduled activities. I think if I had all checklist kids, we'd have a more structured routine, but this allows us to work with all of our personalities without stressing anyone out too much.
