Our church has a professional-grade t-shirt press that we plan to use to iron on the color it yourself transfers sold at Lifeway. The instructions included do not include any info about temperature settings and are rather vague about transfer papers and which side to color on. Anyone have any experience? I don't mind messing up a few t-shirts experimenting, but my youth director will not be happy if I mess up his t-shirt press! Eek

color on the side that is textured (when you look at the side you color on, the words will be backwards). Be sure not to color too hard or you will damage the iron-on. as far as temp, I can't tell you exactly because my iron doesn't have actual temperture numbers, it has fabric settings. I used a setting that was between cotton and wool, if that helps you at all, and for all of them, I had to iron them, let the cool, and then re-iron them before I removed the transfer. I may have had to re-iron them because of the material I was using though, because I used them on canvas bags, not T-shirts. I liked them though because they are all unique! Good luck!

Did you know that Lifeway is out of the color-me iron ons!!! That was not very good planning for them to be out this early in the VBS season. I ordered some a few weeks ago and I've been looking for them SO I called and was told they are out and will not be getting any more! Confused

Sweettea - We are out of color-me iron ons in our warehouse. But, there should still be stock left in LifeWay Stores across the country. Unfortunately, I don't know which stores have stock and which don't.

I'm so sorry about this - we can't get any more from our supplier in time.

I would suggest calling your local store to see if they have stock.

My local store said they have called all the stores in our area and there are none to be found. My craft leader was VERY excited about them because we've never done anything like that. But I guess it just wasn't what the Lord wanted us to do for crafts! Thanks Smile

kdean, I'm so glad the employees in Dothan were so helpful to you. Most of them are College students at the Baptist College of Florida, which is where my husband and I graduated. I'm glad to know that my almamater is still producing students who are as helpful as ever! Smile
