Anyone have any tips/recommendations for teaching high school chemistry at home? My oldest daughter is planning to take that next year, in 11th grade. My son never took it so this is all new territory for me. I never took it, either, so I'm totally at a loss here. In Florida our co-op taught high school sciences or at least did the labs for a reasonable fee, but since moving I haven't found anywhere for her to do that. I found one co-op that offers it, but it's too expensive for our budget. She's been in Apologia science so I'll probably stay with that, but have no clue how to handle the labs. If there's a different curriculum that would work better for us I'm not opposed to switching, either. Any thoughts?

Hi Lori,
Apologia has been awesome for all the sciences we've done, but we didn't do chemistry. My kids aren't science-minded, so we did a geology/astronomy combo for that extra science credit.
Anyone have other ideas?

Hi Christine,
So how did you do your geology/astronomy combo? My middle daughter is not nearly as science-minded as my oldest, so I'm looking for options for her, too (and having to keep reminding myself that she IS going to be in high school next year!)

We used Alpha/Omega Lifepaks. Way too easy.
