What do you think of the small trend in homeschooling to discourage girls from attending college?

Well, having three daughters, this is something I've thought a little bit about. I have no intention of keeping my girls from attending college if they choose to go. But I also don't plan to insist that they do go (nor did I with my son). I think for boys and girls, it's a personal choice. College may be the right thing for some people, and not right for others, and I think that applies to both boys and girls. My oldest has told me that what she really wants in life is to get married, have children, and be a stay-at-home mom, and I think that's great. That's what I always wanted, too. But that didn't happen for me until I was almost 24 years old, and in the meantime I needed to support myself financially, so having a college education helped me do that. So if they want to go to college, I will encourage them to do so. If they choose not to, that's fine, too. I guess I think we need to let them keep their options open as they are figuring out what God has planned for them.
