Hello,
Anyone here having their kids take CLEP tests, or investigating distance learning for college? I just read an interesting book called College Without Compromise that has been very thought provoking. Anyone here following that path? Blessings, Christine |

Christine,
Can you tell us more about that book? I need to start looking into college options more for my daughter pretty soon. She's 10th grade now, and I'm pretty sure is college-bound. My son wasn't, at least not until his senior year when he decided that maybe it wouldn't be a total waste of his time after all. By then it was a huge struggle to get everything done, then the move came up so he put college plans on hold for now. Anyway, he's planning to go to the community college here locally if he stays here. I don't know yet what our options will be in Texas. But my son also talked about taking on-line classes, so that's something we'll look into also. Lori D Visit our family web site: http://birkdalebunch.com/ |

The book is called College Without Compromise by Wightman, I believe. Basically, there are three accredited colleges around that will grant a BA or BS for a combination of CLEP and other tests and distance learning. All for around $4-6,000.
It's fascinating. Christine |
