Because of the new legislation in California requiring public schools to tolerance for homosexuality, I have seen that thousands of Christian parents are investigating homeschooling. Knowing many families are not prepared financially for homeschooling, is there any way that current homeschoolers could ship their suplus teaching materials to churches in California? This probably is out of the realm of your website, but I don't know where to go for information. Thanks for your help. quote: Originally posted by christinefield: What other topics headings would you like to see addressed on this message board? How can we make it better for you?

There are organizations that give or loan homeschool materials to families in need. There is also a lot of free material available on-line. If you do a search for "free homeschool curriculum" or something like that you could probably find some of those resources. I know there is a group (I can't remember the name of it, though) that collects used homeschool books and then loans it out to anyone who has a need. All they ask is that when you're finished with it you either return it to them or give it away (not sell it). Maybe someone else will remember the name of that organization.
