I have been happy with Fuel, so I decided to use Fuel2 for Wednesday nights. My questions.... what happened to fanning the flame? What happened to listening guides? Other than that it looks cool.
The intent of "Fanning the Flame" is to give students someone from their peer group to identify with week after week. Since Fuel2 uses reoccurring characters in many of the "Spark" segments, we felt that they would serve some of the same purpose. We have kept the "person-on-the-street" idea on a more limited basis. There is one "Spark" in volume 1 that is of that nature, and volume 2 has a couple of round table discussions with students that have the same feel.
If you want to continue the listening guide approach with Fuel2, one option would be to turn the outlines into listening guides. Since they are customizable, you could take out some of the words and insert blanks.
