For what it's worth, I'm pretty conservative when it comes to pagan recognitions, and I think we should always consider the potential risks. I would feel plenty secure, in our community, in displaying the tiki images because I'm certain that our children would not make the false god association there, but if you feel differently about the children you'll be teaching, you should definitely err on the side of caution. quote: Originally posted by cherylg: Just a thought. Since tikis are images of gods or ancestors and we are trying to teach the children about the true God, my opinion is that we should try to avoid using the tiki "images" in our decorations. Tiki torches are fine, but the tiki "faces" are not fine. What does everyone else think about this subject?

I will not be using tiki's (only the torches). I know some of the parents would have a problem even if the kids didn't realize the connection to pegan gods.
